An amazing coin artist. Tales You Lose. |wizard of dork

So what is art? I remember having this talk over and over for years with friends. I still can't tell for sure. I know one thing for sure.

Art for me is what is giving me feelings. Any kind of feelings. No need to discriminate the feelings. Even if its disgust or love you feel, it its a form of art for me.

So then again how do you perform art? Is a word art? Is a sign art? Depending on the circumstances yes. Anything can be a canvas for the artists thoughts. An artist can express himself through anything.

So the reason I'm writing this post is because I want you to meet an amazing artist. His name is Andre Levy and he is drawing on coins. He is Brazilian and lives in Frankfurt right now.

What is he drawing? Cartoon characters and statements of any kind. I believe for us dorks this is simply divine. Right?

My first meeting with his amazing art was on my Facebook timeline. It was Liono. On a Greek coin.

The moment I saw this I had only thing in mind. Respect. That piece of coin gave me more feelings in a few seconds than I had felt the whole week.

The guy draws every favorite character you can imagine in coins from around the world. If that ain't art I really cant tell what it is. Now let us browse some of his amazing art.
